Day & Night Security Cameras

Day/night security cameras are security cameras that can easily capture images at very low light. Day/night cameras are a good alternative to infrared security models for outdoor use because infrared camera picture quality tends to degrade when in protective outdoor housing. Day/night models cannot see into complete darkness like infrared models can, so they are better for outdoor environments where there is at least a little amount of light. This makes them good for an environment with streetlights or lights from surrounding buildings. Day/night cameras are great for home or commercial use. There are a large variety of day/night security camera designs. You can find day/night dome cameras, day/night bullet models, and day/night c-mounted models. Day/night models also vary in visual range and picture quality.

You can find day/night security cameras and multi camera surveillance systems at several retailers and on several websites. Online, these models usually range in price from $80 to $1,000. The price of a day/night camera depends on the brand, design, visual range and picture quality, how well it captures images at a very low light level, whether or not it is a network camera, whether or not it is weather and vandal proof, and whether or not there are any extra features like audio. If you are on a tight budget, less expensive day/night cameras may not have as many features, but they are still great options for keeping your home or business secure. The more expensive day/night cameras are better options for commercial use.
